HayleyxAnn, please cheers up. I have gone through many UPs and DOWNs myself. Life has not been the same after my transfered to another city away from my family in January, 2004. I visist them once in a week (domestic flight Boeing 747 20 minutes). I am getting used to it now on my own during week days.

I'm one of Adams furry friends 
Babe, you will keep in contact with her and she will with you too, it's a shame but life does carry on. Like the others have already said, you will make LOADS of new friends a Uni and Kent is such a lovely place (I used to live in Edenbridge!)
I hope you have started to feel better (and it wasn't flu !) No doubt you'll see her again in no time
We will live a lot nearer each other babe, so when you get some time off, pop on over and we can go out
